Commercial Deals See a Flurry of Activity in India
Fri. Nov 22nd, 2024

There is hope for real estate in India, it seems, with a lot of deals taking place in major cities in the area of commercial or office domain. Does it seem like India has made a firm take off in this sphere?

Many top cities in India have been recently seeing a flurry of activity in spaces for commercial deals, which is a good sign – a signal that the sluggish real estate sector is finally beginning to shake off its inertia and is inching ahead slowly.

The city of Bengaluru recorded the highest number of deals in the office space, according to a survey conducted by a popular newspaper; the area transacted involved 16 million square feet. Pune in the state of Maharashtra followed, at a close second, with 12 million square feet. Only Hyderabad has not seen much of movement, with all other cities and metros registering an impressive 30% growth in this area.

With the activity heating up in the commercial space, the vacancy levels are coming down and the rental levels too will predictably remain stable. In order to bring down costs and boost up productivity key verticals are being integrated by companies. Better workplace facilities and amenities are being offered to employees by these companies, making the Indian office an attractive working space.
