Deputy chief minister Nitin Patel said, “The decision was taken in public interest.“ He added, “The appointed TP officer will report to the collector the revenue areas where TPs have been finalized where automatic NA certification could be given. Till date, NA was required for every survey number.“

Piggy-backing on the no NA announcement, the urban development department declared that any citizen who wishes to construct a dwelling of 125 square metre or less will not have to approach the local development authority for plan approvals before construction stage. “Land owners will have to present an affidavit before the town development officer along with a certified copy of the construction plan prepared by a registered architect,“ says Patel. He added. “A Building Use (BU) permission will be granted immediately by the TP officer after construction is completed and as per the plan.“

President elect of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) Jaxay Shah told TOI, “These are landmark decisions by the government that will not only usher in transparency in real estate sector but also ease a common’s worry of owning a house and even getting clearances for their land.“
